Sarah's take

I wholeheartedly recommend *Blame* for its haunting exploration of guilt, redemption, and the complexities of personal responsibility. Michelle Huneven crafts Patsy's journey with such raw honesty that it invites readers to reflect on the weight of our choices and the elusive nature of forgiveness, making it a powerful read for anyone grappling with themes of identity and the quest for atonement.

About the book

Patsy, an alcoholic professor, kills two people in a drunk-driving accident and serves time in prison. Upon release, she attempts to rebuild her shattered life, seeking work, love, and some form of absolution. Huneven explores the brutal reality that some mistakes cannot be undone, and redemption may be a luxury the guilty cannot afford.
